Heroic Philosophers!
How is it already March?!!
Wow. Time flies when you’re hammering and having fun, eh?
I hope you enjoyed the Notes from last week-check out all those links below if you missed them!
(Just noticed that it was a super-eclectic group of authors, btw. An Admiral on Conquering Crisis. A General On Character. A neuroscientist on Mind Magic. A Professor (who trains special operations forces) on Primal Intelligence. A Psychic on The Prism. And one of the the world’s leading addiction experts on the fact that we all live in Dopamine Nation.)
This week we’ve got a whole ‘nother batch of goodness including some more REALLY (!) great books. My head exploded a bit just looking at the list. 😲
We’ll kick the week off with one of my ALL-TIME favorite books by Brad Stulberg.

The Way of Excellence
I read it cover to cover and it’s extraordinary. As I say in the intro, as a guy with the Greek word for excellence tattooed on my right forearm, I’m a bit biased but WOW. Pure excellence.
Then we have Notes on TWO books by one of my all-time favorite writers: Scott Barry Kaufman.

Rise Above

Transcend
Scott is one of the world’s most-respected social psychologists and I hope you LOVE the Notes as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Then we have Notes on philosopher-historian Will Durant’s

Heroes of History
Somehow I went five decades without reading anything by Durant. Then I fell in love with him and read five of his books in five days. I’ve already written Notes on all of those books and will share one a week till we get through them.
Then I’m excited to share Notes on Bronnie Ware’s

The Top Five Regrets of the Dying
and hopefully help you avoid at least one or three or five of them!
Then we’ve got Notes on Hal Hershfield’s

Your Future Self
Hal’s the leading researcher on the power of connecting to your future self.
Get this: You can bring people into a lab, put them in an MRI and ask them to think of themselves (a certain part of their brain will light up), then think of a stranger (a different part of their brain will light up), then think of their future self.
For some people, when they think of their FUTURE selves, the STRANGER part lights up. For the happiest/most flourishing people, the SELF part of their brain lights up. We’ll help make sure that happens for YOU.
Alrighty. That’s all I’ve got.
Sending love and more hand-crafted wisdom in less time to you and your fam!
Day 1. All in.
LET’S GO!
