Hope you’ve had a great week!
In the five or so years that I’ve been writing these weekly messages, the Mother’s Day editions hold a special meaning for me.
Every year, I reflect on how every single person reading this has a mom.
Of course, the relationships we have with our moms are all different.
But it’s impossible for you to be here, reading this, without having had a mom bring you into this life.
In a world where our differences are often most focused on, there’s something beautiful and powerful about being reminded of our shared origins.
I also think about just how many of you are also moms.
There are few identities that align as fully with the Ancient Greek ideal of hērō than that of a mom.
Hērōs protect what they hold most dear. They are fueled by love, and their secret weapon is love.
To all of the moms…
