“Winning the day isn’t about grand strategies or long-term plans. It’s about what you do today, right now, to be better than you were yesterday.”

GEORGE RAVELING

Happy Sunday!

Michael here. ๐Ÿ‘‹

Our newest Philosopher’s Note is on George Raveling & Ryan Holiday’s What You’re Made For.

It’s a well-timed Note, as broader societal and technological changes invite us to re-examine individual and collective meaning.

In fact, just within the last several weeks, two different giants released books on the subject: Arthur C. Brooks The Meaning of Your Life and Jim Collins What to Make of a Life.

It’s time to ask ourselves, as the introduction to the Note invites:

“Why am I here? What is my purpose? What unique contribution am I meant to make in this world? …

What was I made for?”

Well?

What were you made for?

Hope that you enjoy the newest Note!

And that you bring forth what you’re made for.

Activating your Heroic potential.

And giving the world all you’ve got.

-Michael

P.S. The 3rd Big Idea? Study books:

“I made a commitment to myself: each day would include time for reading. Books became an essential part of my daily routine. I wasn’t content to just read books—I studied them. When you read a book, you do it mainly for entertainment or general interest. But when you study a book, you engage with the material on a deeper level. You read with greater focus and intention, taking notes, asking questions, connecting ideas. You’re not a passive consumer, but an active learner on a quest for knowledge and wisdom to apply to your life.”

One of the best ways to make studying books an essential part of your daily routine!?
